A pair of relaxing shoes perfect for room shoes etc., or any other situations when you want a relaxing pair of footwear (in Japan, it is marketed as something that can be worn after the shinto festivals for recovery, i.e., "Matsuri No Ato" is written as "祭りのあと" in Japanese, and means "after the festival"). Some situations where these shoes would work perfectly are: your room, when just walking around the neighborhood, in the hotel room, on the plane, during a road trip when you feel exhausted, and walking in the common area in your apartment. The rubber part in the ankle allows you to simply put your feet on the ankle part, therefore letting you wear the shoes just like sandals or almost slippers, or you can put the rubber part over your ankle and wear them like regular shoes. Of course it is very easy to wash and dry!
